Worthy Grand Matron Messages

Welcome to the Official Website of the Order of the Eastern Star in Washington State.

            We are excited about our year, “Portrait of a Star”, as we visit our shut-ins before each Official Visit.   At our Official Visits we will honor those who have at least 3 generations of Eastern Star members.   We look forward to our “Gallery of Stars” Session in June of 2009. 

            Our Order is a chance to learn, grow, and meet great people.  It is dedicated to Charity, Truth and Loving Kindness.  It is the largest Fraternal Organization in the world to which both men and women belong.   Our members are of all religious faiths.  Our appeal is in the true beauty of the lessons that are portrayed in our beautiful ritualistic work which teach Fidelity, Constancy, Loyalty, Faith, and Love.

We strive to better ourselves.  KNOWLEDGE will help us to accomplish our goals.  The commitment to a goal takes HARDWORK.  Our ATTITUDE is reflected in the way we act and see the world around us.  Finally, with the LOVE OF GOD we will have the ability to accomplish all we strive to do to make our world a better place.

Dear Sisters and Brothers,
 
Happy New Year to one and all.  My wish for all of you is to have a safe and healthy New Year. 
 
The first half of our year has gone by so fast.  We have so enjoyed the Official Visits.  We have especially treasured our visits with our seniors.  What a wonderful group of people. 
 
Your friendship fills my heart with a glow
It comes from all the folks I know.
 
It's the love we have for more than a while
It comes in hugs, handshakes and smiles.
 
We call our seniors on the phone
To let them know they are not alone.
 
I know God sent you from above
You're the friends I have to love.
