WHAT DOES LOVE MEAN???

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"    The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

  • "When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.  So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too.  That's love." --  Rebecca - age 8
  • "When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.  You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." --  Billy - age 4
  • "Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."  -- Karl - age 5
  • "Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs." -- Chrissy - age 6
  • "Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." -- Terri - age  4
  • "Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."  -- Danny -  age 7
  • "Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more.  My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss"  -- Emily - age 8
  • "Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."   -- Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
  • "If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate," Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
  • "Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."  --  Noelle - age 7
  • "Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well." -- Tommy - age 6
  • "During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore." -- Cindy - age 8
  • "My mommy loves me more than anybody.  You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night." -- Clare - age 6
  • "Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."-- Elaine-age 5
  • "Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford." -- Chris - age 7
  • "Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day." -- Mary Ann - age 4
  • "I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."  -- Lauren - age 4
  • "When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (what an image) -- Karen - age 7
  • "Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross." -- Mark - age 6
  • "You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."  -- Jessica - age 8
  • And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.   Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.   When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry"

At the Reception honoring the station of Grand Treasurer and Katie Glessing this past Saturday, I had the distinct pleasure of presenting the commission of Grand Representative of Mississippi in WA to none other than DON SCHWARTZ!  Don is currently WP of Crystal Chapter in Enumclaw, a job he has held upteen dozen times, it seems.  As many of you remember, Gloria Schwartz and I were Chairmen of the Super Star Deputies a few years back ... so it was indeed a pleasure for me to have the opportunity of putting a smile on Don's face!

Health & well being ...
Dear Connie;
I am writing to let you know that I am well and home from the hospital.  On the night of Jan 30th I was rushed to the local hospital as I was having another heart attack. From there I was driven via ambulance, to Seattle (Swedish/Providence) hospital where  during surgery I had 2 end to end stents installed to open a  blocked artery.  I returned home on Friday the 2nd. I am doing well and getting back into visiting other Chapters.  This makes 5 stents installed in my heart. I am taking alot of meds in hope of never having to go thru this again.
I thank all my Star Friends for there prayers and cards.  My next Chapter meeting will be March 1st, where we will hold election of officers.

Grand Historian needs some help!!!
Connie the Grand Historian needs the help of the "Star" to save the Grand Secretary from having to do another mailing.
Each Chapter received a letter and a form to be filled out regarding their chapter history for the year 2005-2006.  We have over 100 Chapters , and I
believe last years Grand Historian reported she had received forty plus letters.  This year I have received the Histories from the following Chapters:
Fern #7                             Grace #105
Waitsburg #9                    Golden Link #125
Nesika #54                        Davenport #131
Century #66                       Sunnyside #134 (sent 2005-2006 and 2006-2007)
Silver Star #93                   Malden #149
Sunshine # 94                     Lakeside #202
Alma #100                         Grand Coulee Dam #237

Worthy Matrons please check with your Historian and have her send in the History of your Chapter.  It needs to be mailed to me:  Myrtle Powers
            2016 West 15th Street
            Port Angeles, Washington 98363-5103
Please, let us get our records up to date.  If only forty plus were received last year, that means there are at least sixty Chapters who are missing two or more years. This year (2006-2007) history should be mailed to the New Grand Historian that our Sister Marjoe will be appointing.
While I am writing I would like to mention that the only pictures that I received was from the OV at Pilgrim Chapter.  I was told that people are using digital cameras and negatives are no longer needed.  If you would e-mail me a copy taken with your digital camera, I can print it off.  Also Grand Family you are batting 100 percent.  The only pictures I have of your reception are from Dan Voorhees of the Assoc. Grand Matron and Assoc. Grand Patrons reception.  I am afraid our Worthy Grand Matrons year is going to contain only the individual pictures of her Grand Officers, one reception and one OV.  Pictures can be e-mailed to mmpowers@olypen.com
** Submitted by: Myrtle Powers, Grand Historian
Ooops!  I noticed that BOTH my Chapters are not on the list ....

Address change ...
Hi, Connie.  Could you please put this in the Stars?
Reminder of the address change for Crystal Chapter's Secretary:
    Judy Nielsen

    Enumclaw, WA 98022
The Grand Secretary has this new address, but the 2006-2007 Blue Book does not.  Recently some mail has arrived too late for the event being observed, so hopefully this reminder will help solve that problem.  Thanks so much.

Sadness in Oz ...
Connie -
It is with a heavy heart that I am letting those who read your newsletter know about the recent passing of our beloved Sister Molly Murphy (ne Woodhead) here in Brisbane on Tuesday morning (1/30).  She has gone to a better place, and is now reunited with her beloved husband Charles, and her parents.  Mizpah Chapter will be attending her funeral service tomorrow (Saturday - 3 February) before our stated meeting on Saturday night.  With typical Molly planning, she arranged to hand over her Pot Of Gold duties for Rainbow, her Grand Treasurer duties for Queensland, and tried to help me as much as possible with this my first time in the East 'down under'.  Molly had many friends throughout Rainbow and Eastern Star both here in Australia and in the States.  I thought your newsletter would be the best way to notify everyone.

Minuteman ...
Analia's Minuteman is Don Etchison.  A most rewarding guy you'd ever meet.  Never stops working for Masonry in general, but supports Analia, Jobes Bethel, Edmonds' Lodge and York Rite Bodies, custodian of Edmonds Masonic Center, and manages to find a great deal of time to volunteer work at the Masonic Park in Granite Falls.  Only problem he has is --  I think he served his time in the Navy. Ha.

Grand Esther Honor Night ... Montana-style ...
Monday, February 12, 2007
Grand Esther Honor Night -
On February 1st, 2007 Electa Chapter #7, Missoula, paid tribute to Penny McGill, Grand Esther.  Worthy Matron Velma Cameron had made arrangements for several area past and present Esther's to participate in a "Grand Court of Queen Esther."

THE ENTRANCE OF THE COURT OF QUEEN ESTHER
With great fanfare, several Queen Esther's, adorned in white dresses draped with beautiful purple sashes and laden with trays of gifts covered with white organza, entered the Chapter Room.  They proceeded to the Altar where Sister Penny McGill, Grand Esther of the Grand Chapter of Montana, was escorted by Conductress Kathy Wood. They formed a circle while Chaplain Bea Johnson said a prayer.  Some of the Esther's then presented her with gifts:  Mary Marquardt placed on Penny's head a beautifully beaded white and gold circlet signifying an unending circle of love; Maxine McMillan awarded her a scepter as a symbol of power and authority; Linda Abbott adorned Penny with a string of pearls symbolizing her presence in our hearts forever; Georgana Egeland draped a sumptuous white cape over Penny's shoulders as part of her queenly apparel.  Penny was then escorted to the East, followed by her court, where she received more gifts.  Judy Schmidt presented her with some beaded clips--twinkling stars-- for her hair and Sandy Simmons gave her a white fur cap to wear with her cape.  Queen Penny also received a DVD and the book of "One Night With the King" along with a poster of Queen Esther as well as a beaded shepherd's hook bookmark.  Queen Penny was then presented by each Esther a beautiful white lily, thus making her a wonderful bouquet.  These lilies were representative of the Light, Purity and Joy that is in Queen Esther's lecture.  Electa's Page, Kathy Oliver, assisted Queen Penny with all her gifts and passed out to all present, a white ribbon with a pewter crown charm attached.  Electa Chapter's Martha, Jan Everett sang "Pennies From Heaven" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", accompanied by Immanuel's Heidi Elwood on the piano.  Jan has a beautiful voice and Heidi plays wonderfully.  These are special songs to Penny and they were beautifully done by these ladies.  WM Velma presented Penny with the "Bringer of Light" award as she absolutely "shines" as Grand Esther.  The Sage Advice was about Queen Esther and the connection of white light and crown to her station.
Grand Esther Penny thanked the Chapter and especially WM Velma for her Honor Night.  She said "I knew it was going to be different but this was absolutely beautiful."  She was so pleased that her sisters, Myrna Nilson from Seattle and Delores Prescott of Manhattan and her niece Val Heath, also from Manhattan, were able to be here.  As Myrna said, her sisters can't party without her!!  These ladies have been Installing Officers for each other thru the years and several Chapters.  Penny also paid tribute to Jan Everett, saying she is such a wonderful blessing to her and Electa Chapter with both her voice and personality.  Penny then presented a monetary donation to Electa Chapter for the Worthy Grand Matron's Cancer Project.  Peggy Jacobson read a poem to Penny - Peggy was WGP Neil McGill's first Worthy Matron in Electa Chapter.  Kathy Wood related her incident in the Mall parking lot--almost running into Penny's pickup!!  Ruth Graybill of Mary Baldwin #87, Superior, expressed her congratulations on behalf of the Past Grand Esther's.  Mo Veerkamp, AGP, on behalf of the Grand Officers that had wanted to be here but couldn't because of bad weather and roads, relayed their greetings.  He also commented on how nice it was for Penny to have her family here tonight.
Immanuel Chapter #54, Missoula, received a Blarney Sticker for having 8 members; Naomi #19, Victor, 4 members; and Mary Baldwin #87, Superior, 8 members also.  After the meeting everyone enjoyed a delicious cake and punch served by Jennifer Chabotte and Jan Everett in the Dining Room.  A wonderful and memorable evening came to a close.

MORE SNIPS AND SNIPPETS FROM THE 43rd TRIENNIAL SOUVENIR BOOK

Until the sixth Triennial Assembly was held in 1889, the Most Worthy Grand Patron and the Most Worthy Associate Grand Patron were listed ahead of the
Most Worthy Grand Matron and the Most Worthy Grand Associate Matron.  The men led the General Grand Assemblies and appointed the General Grand
Officers.
The following articles are copied as written in the Souvenir Book:

Fifth Assembly, St. Louis Missouri September 23-26, 1886
The appropriation for the Most Worthy Grand Patron was increased to two hundred dollars; the Most Worthy Grand Matron was allowed nineteen dollars
for postage, telegrams, etc"; a suggestion that the Ritual be sold only to Past Matrons and Past Patrons was not accepted, and ten dollars was paid for
janitorial services.
Little did Masonic Brothers know that established in their dress would ultimately undergo vast changes by the decision in October of a Mr. Griswold
Lorillard to wear a "tailless dress coat".  It is believed that this was the first appearance of that garment destined to be so widely seen in Masonic
Temples and known as "Tuxedo."

Sixth Triennial Assembly, Indianapolis, Indiana, September 26-28, 1889
By 1889 Washington had become the forty-second state.  What zeal must have prevailed both there and in South Dakota that each became a state and
likewise created a Grand Chapter during that same year, recording another "first" on General Grand Chapter annals.
The Sixth Meeting title introduces the word "Triennial" and opens with the first four officers present and only eight stations served by pro-tems.
Committee of Ritual revision made a report, which was adopted, giving us the work as now used.
A revision of the Constitution places now the Most Worthy Grand Matron of this election before the Most Worthy Grand Patron in listing and the Right Worthy Associate Grand Matron likewise being the Right Worthy Associate Grand Patron.  An amendment giving greater opportunity to the Most Worthy Grand Matron extends to her the interim executive powers with the approval of the Most Worthy Grand Patron.  He continues to execute Charters and institute Chapters.  For the first time a Most Worthy Grand Matron is privileged to make all officers appointments although the Constitution says that the Brother will select the men.  She selected two Brothers as Chaplain and Marshal.  The Sentinel was a Sister.

Tenth Triennial Assembly, Detroit, Michigan, September 24-27, 1901
President McKinley provided an historical event by being the first of our Presidents to ride in an automobile, having chosen for the drive a Stanley Steamer.  Incredible as it may seem, in all the United States there could be found in 1900 less than ten miles of concrete pavement, explaining why ten million bicycles set the prevailing mode of transportation.
Transition to the new Administration of Theodore Roosevelt, another Mason, had been made only days before convening of the Tenth Session of General Grand Chapter while the country was still mourning the shocking assassination of President William McKinley.

Fun in Ephrata ...

Hi Connie:
A long time ago, and there is some dispute as to just how long, Moses Lake Lodge, and Ephrata Lodge 167 started a tradition of having a Cherry Pie social to celebrate Washington's birthday. This year, it is at Ephrata. It will be held at 7:30 PM, February 26 at the Ephrata Masonic Temple. We would dearly love to have all the Sisters and Brothers attend. It is open to all, so bring all your kids and kith and kin. After Cherry pie and ice cream there will be an entertainment program. See Ya!

MINUTE MAN AWARDS

WGM Joanne Clark is honoring the Masons at the Official Visits this year.  She is selecting a Mason from a list given to her form the Worthy Matrons of each Chapter.  They will be called the "Minuteman" to go along with her patriotic theme. To qualify for the award, the Mason must be a 10 year member of Eastern Star, have served as Worthy Patron in the Chapter, and been active in the Chapter.  The pins are beautiful and were purchased from Dave Hattrick of ID, now residing for a spell in AZ.
So let's give these outstanding Masons some credit for all their work they do for our beautiful Order!  (For July, August, September, October, November & December  ... please check in the archives on Connie's Corner on the GC of WA's website ... www.washingtonoes.org

VALENTINO'S "PRESCRIPTION"
by Jim Willis

He was named for Saint Valentine's Day.
She found him five years earlier in an animal shelter.  She had gone to the pound to "only look".  Perhaps she had been driven by a need for love, but she'd never admit to that.  What she found there was a fellow downtrodden being -- tiny and in need of medical care.
Her ex-husband and children had moved far away to opposite coasts and had their own problems.  She had forgiven her children long ago, but she had never forgotten them, or all the missed birthdays and holidays, and all the recriminations and guilt they might have brought had they remembered her.  If they still remembered her.
The shelter worker who had placed the shivering, fevered puppy in her arms said, "He's a Jack Russell Terrier-mix.  We think he may have distemper.  Our shelter can't pay for veterinary care, so he'll likely be put down tomorrow, if he even makes it through the night."
She had spent an entire lifetime being "putdown" and she did not consider that an appropriate solution for anyone.
She had grown up with dogs.  The parade of family dogs had ended with the husband who claimed he was allergic to dogs, but he'd also claimed a lot of other things.  So had a lot of her family.  So had a lot of her former friends, but they had gone away long ago.  She was lonely and missed having a dog.
It may have not been the most prudent decision at a time when she doubted she could even save herself, but she decided to lift the puppy from his circumstances and nurse him back to health.
Now, she no longer cared about saving herself.  She was exhausted living an imitation of life.  Tomorrow was her birthday and she knew there wouldn't be a card in the mail, or a bouquet of flowers, and the gentlemen callers had disappeared decades ago.  For her, it was a mark of honor that the interest in her had waned before her physical beauty had.  Even at her age, she was a pretty woman with qualities nobody ever noticed.
At the end of the day there was still no human there for her and even in a crowd she felt invisible.  Only Valentino was ever present.
She had formulated a plan and she considered it symbolic to leave this world on her birthday.  It might finally get the too-late attention of those whose attention she had never been able to command.  She had accumulated a drawer-full of medications from doctors who had prescribed everything without caring to ask what their predecessors had prescribed before.  She planned to use those pills to bring her an ultimate peace.
But there was still the problem of the dog.
Valentino was quite simply the most trying dog she had ever known in her life.  He ended up being impeccably house trained and while he had his charming and endearing moments at home, he had a reputation at the local dog park of being a "tyrant."  He made her go for walks when she wanted anything but a walk.  He wanted dinner when the thought of food disgusted her.  He wanted to be rubbed and stroked and kissed when she didn't want to admit that she had ever
known any such thing.  He demanded affection and that was a concept she had given up on long ago.
She believed, perhaps because she watched too much television, that animals can be telepathic, and if that was true, Valentino needed a psychic muzzle.  She felt that he commented on everything that met with his displeasure.  She had been chastised by Valentino about too late meals and too late walks.  Rarely had she tolerated such insolence from any being.
She sat in her comfortable chair, rubbing Valentino's ears, and mulled over the perfect timing for what she had planned.  The problem was that she had not made appropriate arrangements for Valentino, although the finances for his well-being were assured.  She simply didn't know anyone she could trust with the care of such a demanding dog.
Valentino jumped down and started spinning in circles.  He pawed the air.  He interrupted her thoughts and attempted to command her attention.  He returned to her, dragging his leash in his mouth, and she relented.
"One last time, Valentino," she agreed, as she felt a twinge and her resolve waiver.  Surely, she thought, someone kind will take care of him, as she descended the apartment elevator with him.
Once outside it was a different matter.  It had begun to snow and the street lights created a diamond effect, and Valentino was the star.  She saw an older couple walking arm-in-arm, she heard laughter, and a group of girls on a corner were trying to outdo each other with their dance moves and blaring music.
Valentino tugged at his leash, snapped at snowflakes, and captivated an audience of pedestrians, who all seemed to feel a need to speak to her, because of him.  Forced to engage in conversation with two ladies attracted by Valentino, she mentioned to them that tomorrow was her birthday.  They congratulated her and one woman pulled out a flower from a wrapped bouquet she was carrying and handed it to her.  "For you," she said.
Valentino communicated to her -- I want to go for the longest walk of my life, Mama!  She snapped back, "You are the most difficult dog I have ever met in my entire life!"
At the moment she uttered those words, she realized that the critical, shared word in their exchange had been the word "life!"
That changed everything.  She took him for the longest walk of his life.
And sometime later, at a very advanced age, she might even choose to forgive him for it.

Toffee Imperial

1 cup fine quality margarine
1-1/2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup coarsely chopped toasted almonds
4 (1-ounce) Hershey bars
1/2 cup finely chopped toasted almonds

TO PREPARE:  Combine margarine and sugar in a heavy two-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until mixture comes to a full boil. Do not burn.
Continue to boil, stirring occasionally, until mixture reaches the hard-crack state or a candy thermometer registers 300 degrees. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in coarsely chopped almonds. Pour into a greased nine by thirteen-inch pan. Let stand until set but still very warm. Place pieces of Hershey bars over the top; as chocolate softens, spread evenly with a spatula. Immediately sprinkle with finely chopped almonds. Lightly press almonds into the chocolate. Cool until completely hardened. Break toffee into irregular pieces; store in a covered container.
NOTE:  Margarine works better than butter in this recipe. YIELD:  1-1/3 pounds

JOKES

The school of agriculture's dean of admissions was inter-viewing a prospective student, "Why have you chosen this career?" he asked.
"I dream of making a million dollars in farming, like my father," the student replied.
"Your father made a million dollars in farming?" echoed the dean much impressed.
"No," replied the applicant. "But he always dreamed of it."

Three men  were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new  wives duties. Terry had married a woman from Canada, and bragged  that he had told his wife she was going  to do all the dishes and  house cleaning that needed to be done at their house.  He said  that it took a couple days but on the
third day he came home to a  clean house and the dishes were all washed and put  away.
Jimmie had married a woman from Australia.  He bragged  that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the  cleaning,  dishes, and the cooking. He told them that the first day  he didn't see any results, but the next day it was better. By  the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done, and  he
had a huge dinner on the table.
The third man had  married an American girl. He boasted that he told her that her duties  were to keep the house cleaned,  dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry  washed and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first  day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything,  but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and  he could see a little out of his left eye. Enough to fix himself a  bite to eat, load the dishwasher, and call a landscaper.  God  Bless American Women (Shared by our Canadian friend, Lowry May ... I just changed a few words ... like American for Canadian!  It worked!)

Used to being the center of attention, Robbie was a little more than jealous of his new baby sister. The parents sat him down and said that now that she was getting older, the house was too small and they'd have to move.
"It's no use." Robbie said, "She's crawling good now and she'd probably just follow us."

HELOISE
  • Add Plants to Home Environment to Rehydrate the Air:  Bring moisture into a dry home by getting these types of plants — ferns, begonias, coleus and zebra plants — because they like moisture and they grow fast. Place the pots on top of a shallow tray filled with pebbles and water, this will help to keep moisture in the air.

  • To Remove Pet Hair From Furniture:  Wipe a lightly dampened clean sponge over it to lift off or buy special pet sponges geared for this task (at pet supply stores). You also can swipe the rubber bottom (clean sole) of a tennis sneaker to pull up hair.

  • How to Freshen Smelly Pillows:  If your pillows or bedding smell a bit musty, put them in the dryer on AIR ONLY or FLUFF. To give them a soothing fragrance: Add a drop or two of lavender essential oil to a paper towel and toss in with the pillows or bedding.

  • When Packing for a Trip:  To help prevent clothing from becoming wrinkled, roll clothes, instead of folding them. First, put each garment flat inside a plastic dry-cleaning bag and then roll up

AND A WORD FROM YOURS TRULY

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!  It doesn't have to be a spouse or a sweetheart to be your Valentine, you know.  Sending a little love to a child, mother, father, or even a best friend is fun, too!  I hope that y'all let them all know just how special they are to you!  Our grandgirls get boxes of See's Chocolates for Valentine's Day from their grampa!  I get our grandson some of those theater tickets they sell at Costco.  He enjoys that more than chocolate.  Can you imagine?  And speaking of grandson ... I just got off the phone with him!  Ya gotta love him ... He always starts conversations with me saying:  HI BEAUTIFUL!  I know he must be blind in one eye and can't see out of the other, but it certainly makes me feel good!  He grew up calling me Mom ... and he said tonight ... 'You will always be Mom to me, MOM!'  You can tell that he is definitely our favorite grandson ... but I gotta confess.  He is our ONLY grandson!
It is a busy, busy time of year for us right now  ... you, too?  At least the weather doesn't make me feel guilty ... that I should be outside doing something!  We can't see the grass yet for the snow, but am sure somewhere under that white stuff, I have some Snow Drops and Primroses trying to stick their heads up!  Ted pruned our Burning Bush yesterday ... the one that wasn't supposed to get very big!  BOY HOWDY!  It sure didn't know that!  The ones towards the river are 'pruned' by the deer.  They have also eaten the crab apples off the tree this past week!  They must be desperate, huh!
Bill Saunders sent me a write up about the USS New York ... all made out of scrap iron from the World Trade Centers devastation.  The last line of the article said:  "If you can't be behind our troops, then feel free to get in front of them." I like it!  We visited with Bethlehem Chapter member Eddie Scott the other evening ... home from his jaunt in Iraq.  Same ole Eddie ... except much thinner and his head is all shaved!  I personally cannot stand to have the weather too warm ... and to think about way over 100° weather and in full battle dress uniforms (BDUs) ... I just know I could never make it under those conditions.
And now I am going to TRY and get this newsletter sent out ... Might be difficult as there is snow on the 'dish' and I see that nothing is coming or going!  Hang in there, though.  Might be old news by the time the dish can relate to the satellite!  And we thought spring was on its way!  I heard that it was supposed to snow all night!
Until next time ... Hearty Patriot Hugs and happy thoughts.
